Our threefold strategy addresses the issue of gun violence in a holistic, sustainable, and intersectional manner. It galvanizes the power of the people most affected by the pain to inform solutions that effectively tackle the root causes of gun violence.
Build a policy agenda that is comprehensive and views gun violence as a public health issue.
We will work to pass policy on all levels of government that is reflective of communities of color, as well as fight back against any policies that will lead to mass incarceration, or other forms of discrimination. We will build regional strategy hubs to support our collective partners and efforts on the state, local, and national level. Build a network of leaders that are directly impacted by the issue of gun violence.
Will will continue to support new and existing leaders reach their goals and full potential as a advocate for gun violence prevention. We believe that if we are to end gun violence, we need to have a intersectional and intergenerational network of leaders who are clear and committed in joining across America to build local power. Build and bring training opportunities to everyday people who want to take action on gun violence prevention.
We have trained over 2,000 activists through our Peacemaker Training Institute, and Peacemaker Awards Summit with the Live Free Campaign. Starting in 2019, we will be teaming up with Revolve Impact to produce trainings in our regional strategy hubs on a monthly basis. Learn more about the Peacemaker Training Institute here.
