Who we are
Meet our team and get to know about what brings us to the work.
In the midst of COVID-19 and summertime upticks of gun violence and police violence, policymakers must listen to communities on the front lines of the public health epidemic of gun violence. This playbook offers policymakers a three-step process in taking a public health approach to address these intersecting crises.
Policymakers for Peace is a growing nonpartisan national network of state and local elected officials of color coming together to change the conversation on gun violence prevention by leading with the people closest to the pain of everyday gun violence.
Police Violence is Gun Violence
In light of America’s history of police violence and the recent incidents that took the lives of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd, the Community Justice Action Fund demands that justice be served and organizations committed to end gun violence align behind various principles in support of ending police violence.
Support These Organizations on the Frontlines
These leaders on the front lines of ending gun violence are essential and they need our support to maintain funding, as well as supply resources for communities suffering the COVID19 pandemic and the public health crisis of gun violence.
